Badges
A badge is worked out from your account rather than handed out, so it appears the moment it is true and goes if it stops being true. Nobody can award one and nobody can take one away except by changing the thing it describes.
There is no badge for writing a lot of reviews. Volume is not what this site is trying to encourage, and a badge is the clearest statement it could make about what it wants more of.
- Owner
Runs ValRep. Their reviews count double.
Not something you can earn. There is one of these, and it is whoever the site belongs to.
- Admin
Moderates ValRep. Can remove reviews and approve verifications.
Not something you can earn. Moderators are appointed by whoever runs the site, and the list lives outside the database so nothing the site itself can write to decides who is one.
- Owner reviewed
Somebody who runs ValRep has played with them and written it down.
Nothing you can apply for. It appears if whoever runs the site happens to end up in a game with you and reviews you, which is as likely as it sounds. It says a review exists, not that it was a good one.
- Admin reviewed
A ValRep moderator has played with them and written it down.
Nothing you can apply for. It appears if a moderator ends up in a game with you and reviews you. It says a review exists, not that it was a good one.
- Verified
Has proved to a moderator that a Riot ID on this site is theirs.
Find your own Riot ID, press “This is me”, then send a screenshot for a moderator to look at. Verifying also lets you reply to reviews written about you.
- Teammate
Confirmed by match history to have actually played with somebody they reviewed.
Verify your Riot ID, then review somebody you have recently played with. Match history has to show you both in the same game, and only the last few matches of anyone whose profile has been looked at are on file, so a real game can easily be missed. Not having this does not mean you were not there.
- Helpful
Reviews that 5 or more people marked as useful.
Write reviews other people find worth reading. It appears once 5 helpful votes have landed across your reviews. Votes on a review you later delete stop counting.
- Good call
Reported a review that a moderator went on to remove. Reports that do not hold up cost trust, so this is the other side of that.
Report a review that breaks the rules and have a moderator agree with you. Reports that get thrown out cost you a little reviewer trust, so this is worth having rather than reporting everything.
- Responsive
Has answered a review written about them rather than leaving it unanswered.
Answer a review somebody wrote about you. You need a verified claim on the profile first, so that a reply really is from the person it appears to be from.
- Veteran
Has had an account here for over a year.
Keep an account here for 365 days. Nothing to do but stay.
- Day one
Joined during ValRep's first month, while it was still being built.
Sign up before the second of September 2026. Once that date passes this one can never be earned again, and nobody who has it will lose it.
